Figure 1 Relation Between Baseline LVEF and  LV dP/dtmax
We calculated the percentage change in maximal first derivative of left ventricular pressure (LV dP/dtmax [LV dP/dtmax]) induced by intravenous infusion of dobutamine (10 µg kg–1 min–1). Patients were classified into 3 groups: group I (orange with black circles, n = 18), LV dP/dtmax >100% (left ventricular ejection fraction [LVEF] >25%); group IIa (orange circles, n = 17), LV dP/dtmax  100% and LVEF >25%; and group IIb (brown triangles, n = 11), LV dP/dtmax 100% and LVEF 25%.
