Call for Papers: Secondary (Functional) Mitral Regurgitation
JACC: Cardiovascular Imaging strives to provide a vigorous platform for novel imaging-related solutions. In line with this goal and the promise to meticulously define the role of cardiac imaging in managing various cardiovascular diseases around the world, the Journal will publish a themed issue highlighting current and future roles of cardiovascular imaging in secondary (functional) mitral regurgitation.
Papers spanning this theme will be considered, including those addressing techniques, paradigms, pathophysiology, clinical care, diagnostic strategies, prognostication, interventional imaging, monitoring during and after therapy, cost effectiveness and outcomes.
Submissions for the issue will be accepted until June 1, 2020.
How will this process work?
- Original research manuscripts addressing any form of cardiovascular imaging as applied to all aspects of secondary (functional) mitral regurgitation will be considered. Topic suggestions are listed above.
- Manuscripts will be processed under a special rapid peer-review and decision process.
- Interested authors should submit their papers online at JACCSubmit-Imaging.org on or before Monday, June 1. Instructions for Authors can also be found on the submission site. When entering manuscript information, please select “Secondary (Functional) Mitral Regurgitation” from the “Special Issues” pull-down menu.
- This special issue is tentatively planned for the September 2020 issue of JACC: Cardiovascular Imaging.
